EA Agency Pty Ltd (ABN 32 688 568 452) ("EA Agency", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

As a recruitment agency, we collect information that helps us match people with the right roles. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

  • Candidates: your name, contact details, CV, work history, qualifications, skills, salary expectations, referee details and reference checks, right-to-work status, and notes from our conversations and interviews.

  • Clients: contact details for you and your colleagues, your business details, and information about the roles you are recruiting for.

  • Referees and website visitors: contact details and anything you send us through our website or by email.

 

We only collect sensitive information (such as health information or criminal history checks) where it is relevant to a role, and only with your consent or where the law allows it.

How we collect it

We usually collect information directly from you: when you send us your CV, apply for a role, register with us, speak with our team or contact us through our website. We may also collect it from referees, clients, job boards, LinkedIn and other public professional sources.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • find and put forward candidates for roles, and roles for candidates

  • check references, qualifications and right to work

  • manage permanent, temporary and contract placements, including payroll for temps and contractors

  • keep in touch about opportunities, market updates and our services

  • meet our legal obligations and run our business.

We will always ask before sending your CV to a client.

Who we share it with

We may share personal information with:

  • clients considering you for a role (with your consent)

  • referees, and background or qualification check providers

  • service providers who help us run our business, such as IT, cloud storage, payroll and recruitment software providers

  • government agencies or others where the law requires it.
     

Some of our software and cloud providers may store data overseas. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law. We never sell your personal information.
 

How we keep it safe

We store personal information securely in our recruitment systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. When we no longer need it, we securely delete or de-identify it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
 

Our website and cookies

Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use it and to improve it. This information is generally anonymous. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
 

Your choices
